Śālākya Tantra is one of the branches of Ashtanga Ayurveda. It deals with the health of netra (Eye), karna (Ear), nāsā (Nose), mukha (Mouth) and siraḥ (Head).
With the intention of bringing the entire Śālākya community under one umbrella, the Association of Śalāki (TAS) India “The Association of Śalāki (TAS - India)” was formed in 2004 under the leadership of the Founder Member Prof. Dr. Dilip Puranik and his enthusiastic team. This Association is the result of extreme commitment and effort of founder members to bring entire Śālākya community under one umbrella. Till date TAS has organized several national and international conferences in India.
It was the dream of the Association to organize an International Conference in Sri Lanka and this dream to be fulfilled in the coming conference.
