Izmir Democracy University organises the 1st International Conference on Critical Debates in Social Sciences (ICCDSS) to be held at EUPHORIA Aegean Resort & Spa, Izmir, Turkey between 5-7 October 2018. The overall objective of the conference is to foster critical debates in social sciences by bringing together a wide audience of academics, students, professionals, policy makers, non-governmental organisations and members of civil society to engage in fruitful discussions about some of the key issues in the fields of social sciences that directly affect our lives. ICCDSS is, hence, for those interested in presenting paper(s) in all fields of social sciences. An abstract between 300 to 500 words, clearly summarising the arguments, written in English or in Turkish, should be submitted before the submission deadline, 15 September 2018. All abstracts submitted are going to be selected through double-blind peer review process. Accepted abstracts will be uploaded to ICCDSS’s website as an E-Book available to download after the peer review process is completed. Papers presented at ICCDSS will be published in the Conference Proceedings Book with an International Standard Book Number (ISBN). In line with our aim to further stimulate inter-disciplinary and trans-disciplinary dialogues, we highly encourage submission of abstracts derived from papers in all fields of social sciences, including economics, law, political economy, history, business administration, anthropology, international relations, archaeology, sociology, ethnography, political science, political ecology, linguistics, philosophy, corporate and public governance, psychology and art.
