Elnur Salihovic graduated from Gazi Husrevbey madrasa and Faculty of Islamic studies in Sarajevo. He obtained a Master's degree in State Management at University of Sarajevo and La Sapienza University, Rome, Italy. Since 2007, Elnur has been working in Riyasat of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina as the Head of the Zakat Office. Before his current position, he worked as the manager in the export department in one of the biggest companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He has written many articles and analyses related mainly to zakat, social security, and the realities of the Muslim World. Elnur has participated as a speaker and participant in a number of domestic and international seminars and conferences, including those in the USA, Indonesia, Turkey, Kuwait, Germany, Sweden, and others. He holds positions in various domestic and international organizations, such as deputy Secretary General of the World Zakat Forum, member of Supervisory Board of Fund Bosnjaci, member of Operational Unit of Trust Fund of the Islamic Development Bank for Bosnia and Herzegovina, and others. Currently, Elnur is finishing his Doctoral thesis on Faculty of Islamic Studies in Sarajevo. He lives in Sarajevo with his wife Almedina and children Nurudina, Abdurahman and Merjem.
