The Centre for Communication, Teaching and Learning (CCTL), Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the 2nd Professional Communication, Business, Engineering and Technology (PCBET) International Conference 2017. We would like to invite academics, members of industry and service providers to discuss and present their research on various aspects relevant to the conference theme and topics. Conference theme: Towards a Communicative Learning Environment Academics, members of industry and service providers are invited to submit extended abstracts of 400 – 500 words, with a title not exceeding 12 words, on topics which include but are not limited to: • Teaching and Learning • Communication for the workplace • Emerging Trends and Future Directions in Professional Communication • Learner Autonomy • E-learning/Blended learning • Curriculum Development • Workplace Diversity Please use the attached template to submit your abstract. Completed abstracts should be emailed to [email protected] before the deadline given below. Ways to present: ― Oral Presentation Oral presentation will be of 20 minutes duration plus 10 minutes of Q&A session. ― Poster Presentation Poster presentation will continue throughout the three days of the conference. It is a great opportunity for presenters to reach a large audience and engage interested participants directly. These sessions give participants a chance to network with other delegates who may be interested in similar research or other disciplines. Some presenters will be unable to attend the conference to present their paper. We allow authors to submit their poster which will be featured in the conference. Following the conference, you will be sent a certificate of participation, a printed receipt of payment and a printed copy of the conference programme. ― Postgraduate Forum The Postgraduate Forum presents a valuable opportunity for postgraduates to showcase their work to a broad audience in the fields of communication, teaching & learning, and education. The forum may also help postgraduates to establish contacts and communication within academia and industry. In addition, representatives from industry and academia get an opportunity to review state-of-the-art thinking in these fields. The forum is open for presentation for • Postgraduates who are enrolled in Masters programme or • Students who are currently registered as PhD students. Presenters at the Postgraduates Forum will be given 15 minutes for presentation with an additional 5 minutes of Q&A session.
