Event description:

TIIKM’s 2nd Annual International Conference on Services Marketing 2016 (ICOSM-2016) with a theme of “Service Ubiquity” will be jointly hosted by TIIKM and Payap University and held during 9-11 February 2016 in Chiang Mai, Thailand. While “service ubiquity” is generally used to discuss the availability of technology such as the Advanced Mobile Services (see for example, Tojib and Tsarenko, 2012) and in the availability of service in regulated industries (see Crew and Kleindorfer, 1998), the recent world-wide economic melt-down has shown that every business entity, from the butcher who owns the corner store (one person business) to multinational Fortune 500 corporations, who ignores the service aspect of its business does so at its own peril. Clearly, the kind of services rendered by a mom-and-pop grocery store will be different from those offered by a Fortune 500 company, nonetheless there is an expectation of some level of service from each business entity. The question is what is a reasonable or rather the optimum level of service from these different entities? This conference offers researchers and practitioners a unique opportunity to dialog around yet another common issue in services marketing – the level (quality and quantity) of service. While researchers and academics have the opportunity to present their current and on-going studies at this conference, practitioners also have the opportunity to share their experiences from the world of practice. Manuscripts on suggested areas below are welcome. Please note that manuscripts are not limited to only these areas.
