CALL FOR PAPERS

The video game industry is continuously growing into an important economic player, impacting an ever expanding and diverse demographic; the need for original gameplay, multimodal interfaces and faster methods of content creation push video game AI towards new frontiers and challenges. Moreover, games as interactive and engaging media are ideal to validate and evaluate AI algorithms for agent control and content generation.

The aim of this special session is to bring together researchers and practitioners involved in all relevant applications of AI in the field of video games to discuss current work and future directions. This interaction will allow the communities to come closer and target joint goals for a wider impact.

We invite short and full papers on theoretical and practical aspects involving (but not limited to) the following topics:
- Learning in Games (Video, Board, Card)
- Procedural Game Content Generation
- Game Data Mining
- Player Modeling
- Search and Planning in Games
- AI-assisted Game Design
- Believable Agents
- Computational Narrative
- Computational Creativity
- General Game Artificial Intelligence
