About BrownWalker Press

BrownWalker Press seeks academic authors whose work addresses a specialized audience. Our mission is to expose new ideas, explain new approaches in established fields, and present new scholarship. In exchange for distribution rights, we offer a variety of publishing options, major distribution, fair compensation, multiple media edition, professional presentation, and personal attention.

By working closely with the author throughout the publishing process we can bring many books to market quickly and efficiently that would be difficult for other publishers.

We take care of everything needed to make your work easily accessible in both paperback and electronic editions. Our publications are sold in paperback through thousands of booksellers including Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, and directly via the internet. In addition to global internet distribution, we share printing and distribution facilities with some of the largest publishers in the world to ensure quality manufacturing and easy access to all of our titles.

Personal Assistance

If you are an expert in your field, professor or author with a book length manuscript, we may be interested in publishing your work. Our knowledgable staff can guide you through a successful publication. Complete our brief Book Proposal Form for personal assistance. A representative will contact you within days of receipt.

If you have what we're looking for we'll ask to see your manuscript. If accepted for publication, you will work with the same person throughout the publishing process; someone who knows your manuscript, the publishing process, and who has worked with many other authors.

Major Distribution - Worldwide

Our comprehensive distribution system makes your book available through some of the biggest book selling channels on the globe. All our books are made available through major on-line booksellers including giants such as Amazon.com and Barnes&Noble.com, plus available via special order through thousands of neighborhood bookstores.

Large scale wholesale distribution provided by arrangement with top book distributors including Ingram Book Company, Baker & Taylor, and Bertrams in the UK. In addition, readers worldwide can purchase either paper or ebook editions directly from the BrownWalker.com web site for instant access to your work.

Royalties

Author royalties are based on the retail price so you know exactly how much each sale is worth. Authors can receive one of the highest royalties in the publishing business: from 10% to 40% of the retail price depending on the mode and the level of the sale. See Publishing Agreement for details.

Author Control

You can control many aspects of your publication including the editing, page layout, and cover design by submitting your manuscript ready to publish. Complex tables, charts, figures, symbols and photos are no problem if you submit your manuscript in PDF format. Or if you prefer, we can have your manuscript professionally typeset and converted to PDF format from many common computer file formats.

Speed

The publishing process usually takes only six to nine weeks (depending on how well the maunscript is prepared). Once the proof copy is approved and the book appears at on-line booksellers you can begin promoting the book and earning royalties.

Publishing is fast because you can submit your manuscript ready to publish in Acrobat PDF format. Many submissions are ready to promote and distribute in just six to nine weeks.

Author Friendly Publishing Agreement

No publishing fee. Author keeps all copyrights. Easily terminable contract after 2000 copies sold or two years, which ever comes first. See simple Agreement for complete details.

Paper and eBook Format

All titles are available in both ebook and paperback formats. The digital version makes it fast, easy and inexpensive for others to access. The first 25 pages are made available on-line, free for anyone to browse. A password is sold to access the entire book. Each title is also available in a high quality trade paperback edition in a variety of trim sizes.
